Thanks for the link. Should be some interesting reading. I'd like to try something "greener" (man I hate that term) but I have the same concerns. If the epoxy doesn't last long and you have to do major restoration on it or even throw out the kayak, you've lost what little environmental savings you've gained by using a bio-based materials (I know even those savings can be questioned). Personally I'd like to build my kayaks and furniture using quality materials that it, with proper care, should last for generations. I don't build throw-away products. THAT's being "green."
