Strip: african mahogany
Pretty much finished with my first stripper, thinking about the next (hehe). Figured (too late) that the WRC we have in these parts can be slim pickings, but that 1.25" deck boards are the best bet - less knots, much better color. Poplar for white contrast. I used a scrap of mahogany (probably a menards special, baseboard, for contrast strip - very nice!
So on this next boat, I'm thinking African Mahogany as the accent piece - maybe middle of the deck, and edges - not too much, for reasons of weight. Found a couple of chocolate WRC, too, so I'm cooking. So my question - will epoxy 'stick' to the AM, or is it too oily?
