Yours wouldn't be the first you know: Clear Blue Hawaii makes a few composite skin-on-frame folders. The frames are "Carbon Kevlar" and the skin is clear urethane fabric (wish I could fins some of THAT stuff). Yours should definitely be lighter: their top of the line, calm water Napali is 13' LOA x 22". It weighs in at 26 pounds!
