Of course it would. Epoxies are often used in restorations. Usually it's epoxy and a lot of filler.
My worst best tip is if you don't have filler, use pancake mix or flour (but probably not in an aviation application where you're counting the seconds of oxidation . . .
I wonder how Cheerios might work as a lightweight filler?
