Thanks for the information about your station form spacing. Following the formulas in Nick's book, it achieves essentially the same thing, e.g., the amount of space that gets taken out increases progressively as you move along the length of the boat outward from the center-line.

I appreciate your input, and I did consider both the "S" and the "Play" versions. But I am too big and heavy at 185 lbs and 6 feet for the S, and perhaps for the Play, which Nick describes as tight, with limited knee room. I reasoned that by slightly scaling down the Guillemot, I could retain the room in the cockpit area, and just shave a little bit of space and length off of the ends. My garage/workspace is just 17' 10". I will have to build the Guillemot on the diagonal to have enough room to get around the ends and close the door. I am skeptical about modifying the original design as a first time builder, and I may stick to the length as designed.
