: Hey All - I'm working on a Sea Ranger frame and would like some
: suggestions on a few things.
: The stem/stern blocks; how do you ensure that they are perfectly
: perpendicular to the keel with the boat still mounted in the
: strongback?
: The only/best approach I can see is to take the keel off of the
: mount and lay it on the floor and install from there.
: Any ideas?
: Eric
Hi Eric,
I agree with WWfloyd. Its not to very hard to make it work. I like to use a small level to check my forms when I set them up. If you have your forms level then you glue the stems in place just make sure they are plumb. I check their alignment with a string pulled along side the two stems. If they are plumb and in alignment with each other you are good enough you wont paddle in circles. At least I can't blame my kayak for my paddling in circles:-)
