If you were using that skin Bill Lowe used then I understand your comments. I have never used it but I understand It was a tight weave and has virtually no shrinkage left.
I am talking about the 8 oz fabric and if try sewing in on tight like that your going to have pull holes you can stick your fingers in, maybe your whole hand. The 8 oz is a very loose weave and you can not sew on like that. It more like fiberglass fabric but not as loose. I sew it on snug and then shrink it get the skin tight.
I see now why you said that, we were both right. Just talking about different fabrics.
