OK, you really have it bad!! Candles?? Wine?? :-) I was going to say yes but not like that!! :-)

I am in the middle of building my 'Modern Baidarka' I have been dreaming about and designing on for over a year now. Unfortunately it is for someone else but at least I get to paddle it before he gets it. While building the frame, like you, I kept finding something just didn't look right. I measured and double checked and all the frames were right. I mount more than just two frames to the strong back and all of there were located right. I checked the offset sheet and all the frames were located at the right heights. I was stumped.

Next morning I walk in with fresh eyes. Standing back and looking I see the problem. Double checked my offset sheet and this time I spot the problem. I had set the stern most frame 1" to high. I had some reference dimensions on the sheet and I was using them instead of the actually offset I should have been using. Lowered that and now it all lines up properly. When I sight down the chines it looks right.

Before I bought the plotter and started drawing full size patterns I messed up a few frames too. Most common problem was I drew/cut the notch on the wrong side of the line. Your far from the first to make that mistake.
