Hey kudzu, I know this is way off topic, but I just love your screen name. I grew up in Mississippi, and my father was always on an eternal battle against kudzu. Mom used to always joke with him that when he died she was going to bury him in a kudzu patch. The word was almost a curse word for my family. Dad would be driving down the highway, look at a row of trees covered with the stuff and in a disgusted tone of voice he would murmer, "KUDZU!"

Maybe you can rig your deck with some kudzu vine. It's strong stuff, and there's plenty of it to go around. Heck, maybe I'm on to something. They make bamboo cloth, maybe we can make kudzu cloth, followed by a kudzu based resin. You buy a gallon of resin and in a week you'd have enough for ten boats.
