: Nice! What did you use for lashing? Is there an origination for this style of baidarka bow?

I use artificial sinew for my lashings. I have tried other things and this is my favorite by far.

:Where did you get the overall design?

I looked at lot of old Baidarka designs that have been documented and they were my inspiration. I drew up one of the originals but it wasn't what I was looking for, but I still took some ideas from it. But I pretty much started from scratch while borrowing ideas from here and there. I took a lot of the underwater area from my Long Shot design. The stern is my idea.

:Is there an origination for this style of baidarka bow?

I can't find anything historical about this bow design in Dyson's book. I think I have seen something similar on some other boats. But I just created this one by eye till it looked right to me. That describes how I did the whole boat. Just worked on it till it looked right and meet my goals. In a couple of weeks we will see how well I did.
