Thanks for all the tips. you guys are great!!

Did you drill the holes in the way Nick Shade recommends? i.e., drill large holes, epoxy it, and then drill to the precise size.
and one more thing, what do you think about drilling before glassing? would the cedar be strong enough not to break?
