I've seen it once before. A bloke from Sydney was sailing his kayak on a windy day along the north coast of Tasmania in an area where there are seals. He was on the beach and called me over, but didn't say much, just rolled his kayak over. There were tooth marks on both sides of the hull. It was a kevlar carbon fibre layup and he was thanking his lucky stars for the kevlar. He told me he had been hit from below. It was like being hit by a train he said. I guess the taste put this one off.
