Very true, but we should add to that, "Making sure you keep a fair curve". Sometimes making a change can screw all that nice geometry up. It's funny, people are always wanting to make a kayak bigger to fit big feet or long legs, but in the end most end up installing pads to make it more snug!
I had not seen the Whiptail before, but wow, that's one pretty boat. It seems she would be a good all-around boat with good rocker for open water, and a lot of bow buoyancy for surfing. Then again, the other two boats are also awesome well-proven designs. Tough choice, but great lineup. I think either one would be a great choice.
