That's all very interesting. The independent description from the very very reputable supplier says it is a premium matched-grain veneer with even color and is strong and high quality. What problems could you have once it's encased in glass and varnished/painted? It's bs 1088, so it won't have voids and will have passed glue tests so it won't delaminate.
