I've done lots of marine laminations and have had excellent results with most glues that are at least water resistant. There are differing requirements for each glue though. I overall love epoxy, but it's no the ideal for things finished bright (clear finish) as the glue line isn't pretty. I've used Titebond, resorcinal and plastic resin glues, all work fine, though the last two are much more waterproof than the former. All require fairly tight fitting joints and fairly tight clamping pressure, but have a tight and easily finished glue line. Epoxy requires a much looser clamp and is much more tolerant of an imperfect fit and also requires thickening for wood gluing but also provides a glue line that won't take stain and is wider.

No perfect glue for all applications.
