One day, about ten years ago, I was surfing at my favorite spot when I saw a real babe shredding the waves farther down the lineup. Hmmmm, let's
paddle over for a closer look. As I got close the body still looked twenty-five, but her face was older, a lot older.

I lined up next to her and we started talking. It turns out she was seventy-six and obviously very fit and happy about being so active at her age. I would not be surprised to know she is still out there, shredding waves.

Whenever i run into someone like you were talking to I give them this old truism: "You don't quit playing because you grow old; you grow old because you quit playing."

To paraphrase the gun folks: "They can have my paddle when they pry it from my cold, dead hands."
