Timothy Ferris (on TEDTalks.com): "What is the opposite of happiness? Sadness? No. Just as love and hate are two sides of the same coin, so are happiness and sadness... The opposite of love is indifference, and the opposite of happiness is - here's the clincher - boredom... The question you should be asking isn't 'What do I want?' or 'What are my goals?' but 'What would excite me?'... Living like a millionaire requires doing interesting things and not just owning enviable things." http://credentiality2.blogspot.com/2009/02/opposite-of-happiness-is-boredom.html
and as we all know the secret to living like a millionaire is
1. You don't need a million dollars
2. Most millionaires don't live like millionaires--they live like rich people who worry about money and have a lot of nice things
and of course
3. Building a good kayak is just the beginning of many many happy and interesting challenges.
The best response to the guy arguing that age is some kind of limit, is a smile and a quick exit. What's the point of attempting to explain anything to someone who is immune to understanding? Our best argument is when we're a tiny dot on the horizon amidst a pod of leaping dolphins (and whenyou lift your kayak onto your car ad not only is that guy's wife is checking out your butt so his daughter.)
