: Actually if you are building a Yost coaming up out of plywood you
: can make the template as soon as the top lip part of the coaming
: is cut out. Just lay it on some paper and draw the outline of
: the outer edge of the lip. Then mark the center line. At the
: center line mark mark the inside edge of the rear section of the
: lip. That is just so you can have a reference point to measure
: from. Then I will make my back rest position about 1.5 to 2
: inches in from that reference point.
: This is a simple way to make the template and get the skirt on the
: way while you finish the rest of the kayak.
