Thanks guys,
I would have no problem with Tom removing the Sea Otter. Since this was my only experience with Toms boats I had a few doubts. I never thought of lighter weight boats only being faster for accelerations. Of course the rest of the story is that it is being built for a race down the Charles river in Boston with 6 portages. If you really want to feel left out, read the rules. A "sea kayak" must have bulkheads and weight at least 40 lbs. Anyone seen a SOF fit those criteria??? http://www.crwa.org/rotc/rotc.html
