Well that's OK... He really wants a cool boat that is lighter weight first and foremost. He is not a performance athlete.
I always assumed my SOF was faster but then again, I stop and start a lot, so it really is faster considering it accelerates faster. There is no denying that a lighter weight boat is much more enjoyable to paddle.
