Hi Builders,
This is the first picture of my latest build. This is a Dave Gentry design, The Chuckanut 15. I built out of cypress and 8oz polyester. The color scheme was borrowed form Heather Langlois off of Tom Yost's gallery of the Sea Flea. I built the C15 so my daughter and I could paddle in the same kayak. The design was easy to build and not much cost compared to a strip kayak.
I have not yet put her in the water that should be this weekend. However Dave reports a great paddle. He said well behaved tracking and good speed for a 15 foot rec. kayak. I expect that will be exactly the case.
My thanks go out to Dave Gentry for allowing me to build his design. Dave was very helpful with a written Manuel along with the offsets. Dave Gentry is easy to email and quick to respond when I had a question.
I also want to mention Heather Lanlois and her color scheme, The Sea Flea inspired this build, Thanks. Hope the Sea Pup is coming well. Also thanks to everyone on KBBB.
