One can truely turn a Bug into anything. That is very cool.

The Willys is a story in itself. I live in PA, so finding a lightly rusted example around here is near impossible. The best I could find was a $1500 rust bucket. The bottom third of the truck had to be replaced. I ended up buying a complete body out in AZ, which is nearly rust free. The front floor need to be replaced due to stress cracking of all things. But anyway, Easter weekend my buddy and I drove out from here with my '06 GTO dragging a trailer. Straight drive to Phoenix, about 33 hours. Slept that night, loaded up the willys the next morning, then a straight drive back home, a little slower this time. 40 hours on the return trip. A GTO makes quite the tow vehicle.

I'll be building a new frame for it, and installing a Isuzu 4BD diesel, GM 5 speed trans and transfer case, a set of Dana 60 axles out of a Dodge, tire size undetermined at this point.
