We use it all the time paving asphalt (part of my "real" job as a field engineer with the NHDOT). WD dissolves asphalt, especially "tack" (emulsified product used to bond an old surface to a new layer), very well. I often use it on my car to get the little black globules that the tires kick up when driving over newly laid hot mix. Great stuff!
