: I think you probably mean playing in recreational kayaks. Check and
: see what the draft is. My whitewater playboat actually has a lot
: of draft, I'd guess around 8". My inlaws have an Old Town
: Loon and it seems to have very very shallow draft of only
: 2-3", so it would be less likely to hang up on rocks, but
: you might still be better off waiting off for a bit higher water
: level.

Actually my plastic canoe takes far less water to float than any of my kayaks and is also far more manuverable than all the kayaks other than the WW kayak. Takes maybe 3" of water to float the canoe.
