Careful with it. When I was struggling to learn to love the GP, I heard the same thing, that I needed to increase the cant angle of the blade. It caused a bunch of digging and near-capsizes and other nonsense, is what it did for me. Different advice works for different people, and what eventually worked best for me, and still does, is this: grasp the paddle lightly, and let IT tell YOU what it wants.
