Malcolm, I could've written that response until you got to the part where you found a jig that works. Can you get more specific? Will it hold spokeshave irons?

I've been sharpening all that small stuff by hand/eyeball, just being as careful and patient as I can to keep the bevel nailed. I use a Sharpie often to mark the bevel to see the wear patterns to keep myself honest. So far I'm doing okay, but it's still kinda nerve wracking. Would much rather have a jig.
