Seein' as I'll be building mine as work/travel permits (the workshop will be my mom's barn, three hours away from my apartment) over the winter, I'm planning on simply lashing the stringers to the formers (and the bow/stern plates, probably). I figure it'll take me most of the winter, working every second to fourth weekend to get the frame put together. The barn has little heating, so epoxy won't have a chance to cure properly until spring hits.

I'll have to wait for warmer temperatures to hit before I skin it (ballistic nylon & two part urethane)... since I'll also have to seal the plywood ends with epoxy at that point, I might just coat the lashing with epoxy as Tom suggests.

Thanks to Kudzu for the video, too... if I hadn't seen it, I'd have never considered lashing.
