Yeah, duct tape. I use it on my surfboards for a temporary repair. The thing is it lasts for years so I never get around to the permanent repairs.

Also, surf shops can sell you some sort of resin in a tube which sun cures in fifteen minutes. Have some sandpaper in your repair kit to rough up the surface around the repair.
