: I would like to build a Sea Bee 13, Tom Yost design kayak. This
: will be my first kayak and I am looking for the simplest
: project. I chose the hard chine Sea Bee because of its
: simplicity. However I noticed that Tom Yost doesn't show the
: offsets for this design any more. Is it still a good boat to
: build? Are there any that are as simple and easy for a first

Any of Tom's aluminum framed folding kayaks can be built as non-folding wooden framed boats. So, if you want a simple, short kayak, you could look at his Sea Tour 13.
But, by all accounts, the multi-chine Sea Bee is a good boat, and not much more difficult to build than a hard chine boat.
All of his boats are pretty easy to build, though the longer ones obviously require more frames, and the multi-chine boats require more stringers and notches for them.
What and where do you intend to use it? This is more important for choosing a good boat for you. You are a good size for most of Tom's boats, btw.
