Tom's multichine hulls have a little less resistance paddling. Being a new paddler you won't notice any difference and the single chine is much easier to build. There are two versions of the Sea Tours the standard with a single chine and the EXP with the multichine.

I just feel the single chine 15's easier to build and it's a boat you'll not outgrow as quickly as the 13.
