I built my woodstrip kayak a little over two years ago. It was my first shot at working with epoxy (MAS) and fiberglass. Last year I started noticing the finish turning cloudy. I know epoxy can cloud if exposed for long periods of time, but its stored in the garage, only taken out less than a dozen times, and it has several coats of marine varnish. The cloudiness is located in multiple locations spread over the deck and seems to be getting worse. I am slowly convincing myself that the only solution is to strip off the glass and start from scratch. Am I being foolish? If I do have to strip it back to bare wood, can I do it without having to do the whole thing. I dread having to glass the coming again (wasn't easy the first time).
