I noticed the stow away deck plates (at http://www.beckson.com/stowdp.html ) come in two different versions... twist out and screw out. Assuming they're just the standard plates with the ring glued on to hold the bag... it looks like the screw out plates actually have a gasket. As for the twist out... "Three separate sealing areas, each designed to chase water away from the plate opening, assure a watertight closure". I'm not sure what that means, but I'd want to see it for myself. No gaskets are listed, unlike the screw out.

Do you know what version you have?

By the way, thanks for the feedback on yours... I've been looking at them to add a hatch/plate in the rear deck of my upcoming build, and maybe a front deck hatch/plate, too. They certainly look easier than making my own. Getting actual feedback on them helps.
