: this problem it will leak. A gasket is less about sealing it
: from leak, and more about giving the assembly a flexible sealing
: surface that will not bind as temperature changes so that I
: don't have to carry gear just to open it to get to my gear.

I've got rubber hatches in the same compartment so they expand with the pressure changes taking the load off the Beckson. But....I've had them get stuck too, usually when someone else closes them up.
