A few years ago I gave a presentation to a local paddling club on building canoes and kayaks. I brought a wooden boat, wooden paddle, sample of fiberglass cloth, scrap of fiberglassed wood, and maybe a few other things.

My presentation also included a slide show that first showed a wide variety of boats, then photos from the 3 main ways to build canoes and kayaks: Wood Strip, Plywood Stitch & Glue, and Skin on Frame.
