I have been looking on the web at various building cloths and membranes to see if there is anything that could be used to cover a SOF kayak. There are many, UV resistent, flexible, and of various weights 4mm and down to 1mm thicknesses for roofs etc. Anyone tried any such stuff? What about garden pond EPDM? Firestone Pondgard for example. 1mm thick, can be glued, elastic and returns to original shape when stretched by rocks etc. Maybe too stretchy.
