: Night Heron done. Varnished it and let it set for 5 days. Hung on
: braces ( metal with rubber coating) on ceiling. Got it down
: after one week. Where the kayak hit the braces are two very
: visible smudge-like lines. Tried soft cotton...Tried
: Pledge...rubbed lightly...then harder. NOPE...nothing. Any
: suggestions ( besides more varnish)...on how to get rid of these
: foggy smudges. They are about 1" wide...1 foot long. Looks
: like the HIGH gloss just got rubbed off. Deck is all this exotic
: wood in neat design....so much work...arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
: HELP!
Pretty much have to sand those areas down and revarnish. It's why I varnish the deck and hull separately and let it sit in the air to dry, can take a week or more for all the solvents to come out of the varnish.
