: much. It's more of an overview but does give you some idea of
: what you need to achieve. For example- for a skinny boat, you
: want a wide, low sail plan. Not a tall skinny wing.
: While it's not specifically a kayak book, it should apply.

: several times. The author of the book mentioned above is active

With a canoe it is possible to sail upwind without outriggers, I used to have one that I modified, you did have to be very careful of the wind speed though, with a 36" beam there is no basic upright stability with a 14' tall mast ;) Definately required hiking out to keep it upright, was fast though.
