Bill thanks again You have a good point. for all practical purpose the cockpit is more like an Ocean cockpit. its 31 inches long But the front is very narrow and the Knee braces are so close together that the space between is pretty useless (cant get a Knee between it).

that said My usable space is 21" (back of cockpit to front of the Knee braces.) getting in isnt too bad getting out the knee braces are completely in the way.

Ill try your method seems like others with ocean cockpits do as you do.
