: heater, etc, I put the door in line with the window.

: My big tools are in the basement. So counter tops, Strongbacks for
: canoes and kayaks, scarfed gunwales and chines, Rowboat keelson
: and keel, etc. All that stuff has gone through the window. When
: I built my SOF last month, I built the deck as far as I could in
: the basement, then pushed the framed deck out the window for
: ribs, skin, etc.

: The key is to include the window in the up-front planning, and
: avoid the last minute oops.

This is one of the reasons I bought this house, while a full walk out basement would be nice it's not what I have, but I do have 3' square windows, perfect for kayaks :) btw, nice view of the woods just behind the house from those windows. Much like a dream, wood shop with a veiw of the woods :)

When I moved in, all the kayaks went into the basement, now all but one are hanging in the garage and found a place yesterday for the last one out there too. Course the cat-kayak is staying in the basement for now till it's finished.
