: I recently finished my first boat, its a Mill Creek 16.5 hybrid
: with a 33"beam. I would like to try making a few greenland
: paddles and was hoping for recommendations on how long they
: would need to be for this boat. I know its a lot wider than most
: kayaks
: Thanks

Pretty boat - congrats!
I've paddled my Chuckanut 15, a very similar boat (at first glance), with Greenland paddles. As long as you make a GP you are comfortable with, you'll have no issues. Except . . . you'll be slopping way too much water into that big cockpit and all over you. Really. This is definitely a boat I recommend euro paddles with good drip rings for.
The solution, of course, is to build a Greenland kayak now, and use a Greenland paddle with it!
Good luck!
