The initial rocker on the boat was severe towards the ends. Anyway, I decided to measure the rocker out from the ends of the gunwales and use a keel batten to estimate where that second rib should be. It looks a little more sane.

Kudzu - I was looking over some of the diagrams of traditional kayaks in the book, and mine looked more like a whitewater kayak than anything in there... so it was probably too steep. I'm excited to hear there is such a large non-traditional SOF kayak community. This is my first kayak and I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the cramped cockpit... might look into more modern designs for the next one.
