Hi everyone,

I'm in the early stages of my first build, a hybrid night heron. I've been planing out a design for the deck and would like to stain the okoume plywood hull to match some cherry strips on the deck. Has anyone tried to stain okoume to match cherry? If so, what stains did you find to work best? I'm not set on cherry, it's just a wood i know and have easy access too; so if anyone can suggest another wood with similar color that they've matched a stain too that would be helpful as well.
