: I've done it in a space 2' longer on each end (barely enough) and
: 8' wide and it worked but it's tight, this is with all the parts
: pre-cut. You'll need at least this much width because you at
: some point need to remove the deck to finish the hull, so the
: hull and deck need separate spaces and still be able to work on
: both sides of the hull/deck. Comfortable space would be a single
: car garage, 10' wide by 20' long. More space is better.

Oh yeah, ideally you'd want at least 3' on each end, so for a 17 footer you'd want 23'. It's a bitch having to squeeze between the boat and a wall every time you walk around the boat, like 300 times a day.
