We are off to Lake Powell in about 8 hours. It is a little cool with day time temps in the mid 50's and nights around freezing warming late in the week. Water should be in the high 60's. Our last paddle there was during the greatest rain they think the area has had in 1,000 years. We paddled about 120 miles mostly against the wind and hiked about 15 and with Dave's cooking I still managed to add about 5 pounds. It will be interesting to see what this trip brings. Reg, I am taking the Gopro I hope I have some time to play with it. One plan I have is to send it up a kite string to get an aerial of the canyon, there is usually not a lack of wind. Rob, as much as I like that side of the border in the summer there are a few advanatages to living in the desert, sorry about your ice.
