No ice yet, Scott, but we are looking at a crusty thin layer of snow on the ground right now. You are right though, heading south appeals to many folks from the great white north. I remember Mike talking about Lake Powell years ago before he died, beautiful write up, images...stirred me plenty to develop a hankering to get over there one day. I will spend this winter building Linda's Solace 16 if she ever unwraps it...I am sure she would love to do that paddle while it is colder here. For now, I will rest my achy bones (turned 50 today) and rest up for next week...plan on getting on the river. No ice on it yet, that fun should start in November.
