: Watching the cloud systems we predicted high winds for today so
: we did a 26 mile paddle yesterday and came in. Our prediction
: was correct winds have been about 30 mph down there today. The
: first day was the same so we only got in 4 days of paddling
: about 75 miles and a few good hikes. Days were warm and nights
: were cold, no rain and mild winds. We saw 3 house boats and
: maybe 5 fishing boats the entire time except for the last few
: miles by the marina, we pretty much had the lake to ourselves.

: considered it, out last paddle on Powell was a 120 mile paddle.

Well, considering that I'm a pretty old fart (67), plus a novice at paddling, I'm envious of the ability to do 26 mile paddles. Maybe next year... :-) We had fun, and it sounds like you did too. The scenery is gorgeous.
