Whenever I'm paddling my Sea Tour, I keep hearing you - "just let it sit on one side + you'll be fine." Feels funny sitting still tilted off to one side, but I'll be danged - you're right.

The other part that I hadn't thought about. The "V"-bottom sits lower in the water. In extremely shallow areas, I've found I have to go over on one side of the V to be able to clear the uber-lower water I deal with occasionally.
