: Apply at least two (2) strips on both sides of the keel line.

: Strip up from the sheer line and continue all the way round the
: bilge (the curved transition from the side of the hull
: to the hull bottom), then fill out from the keel strips.

: No one will see the difference between a small (football) stripped
: hull bottom or a hull stripped following the sheer line
: all the way to the keel line (per your original post) unless you
: plan to send a lot of time upside down.

: Cut narrower strips as needed to make the strip seam align with the
: bow gap and the tail strips. You'll know it when you get there.

: Your number one task is to align strip edges. Pre-fit each strip,
: and DRY clamp it in place, so you find any problem spots BEFORE
: you apply glue.

: This way you will see spots that will be a challenge to make fit
: and have to use some of the tricks I explain in the plans to
: hold strips in hard to clamp spots.

: If you take the time now to fit each strip and get the edges
: aligned as well as possible you will SAVE work and time later,
: eliminating hours of sanding, scraping,
: and fairing the inside AND outside.
