I think you will get different opinions on this subject. In your picture, the one on the far left (sorry, I forgot the number it was in the picture) is the one to use when the cloth "floats" in the resin and you want to push it back down. However, to apply and spread out the resin you want to get a foam roller. (Other method is to use a squeegee- the method I use is what I will describe). I use a small foam roller that is about 1.5" diameter and the foam is white. I find that these use a foam that is very dense and doesn't add much air to the epoxy. Other rollers I have found are too porous and will put air in the resin.

I buy one roller per coat, and a few extras. Only if doing a very large surface will you use more than one per coat.
