My Disko Bay's all done with 4 ounce, but it's doubled in several places, the football, under the seat and foot positions, under the fore and aft decks for rescue work and the stems.

This all adds a few pounds to the boat, but I use them fairly hard and seem to do several rescues a year and train fairly often too.
